The Android app works with the Radio Thermostat web application to give you control of your Wi-Fi enabled thermostat from anywhere.

We’re trying out a new feature in this app with a group of beta users to automatically enable the energy-saving Away mode based on how far your Android device is from your home, and doing so requires the app to have location services permissions. We do not store any of your device’s location data. If you aren’t part of that group of beta users (all of them know who they are), the app is not checking your location. We hope to bring this great feature to more users soon.
